Commissioned in the year 2380, her mission is one of exploration and defense.  The Phoenix has three objectives, her first objective is to explore, her second is to neutralize any and all hostile forces when diplomatic route's fail, her third and final objective is one of prevention.......

The Phoenix is commanded by Rear Admiral Alexander  Draven, a half Human half Betazoid.  Born in the year 2339 on New Berlin, Mars he enrolled in Starfleet Academy in 2356, graduating with high honors and within the 99th percentile.   After the Academy Alexander went to Harvard Medical and received his PHD in 2361,  then received a doctorate in science from Oxford in 2366.  After school Alexander's first assignment was the USS Manchester as a  Medical Officer,  after the Manchester Alexander was assigned to the USS Parliament as Operations officer, in 2368 an incident occurred on Epson V where Alexander risked his own life to save Ambassador Kisar, of the Balari Contingent  he was awarded with the rank of Commander  and the Starfleet Medal of Valor.   In 2370 Alexander saved over 15 lives rescuing a transport shuttle from the Uranium Stratosphere he was awarded the Starfleet Medal of Honor and the Presidential Crest of Life.  In 2371 Alexander was promoted to the rank of Captain  and Chief Medical Officer  of the USS Corinthian, the Corinthian was Lost in the Kilingon Civil  war.  Alexander then was assigned to the USS Stinger, the Stinger was destroyed in 2374 due to a spacial anomaly he was awarded the Daystrom Star of Valor.  Assigned to Starfleet Intelligence for 5 years and promoted to the rank of Admiral for his dedication to his career.  In 2379 Admiral Alexander Draven was informed that the USS Phoenix will be commissioned in 1 year.  For the next year he learned all he could about the ship and her technologies.  In 2380 he officially took command and is hand picking his crew.
